About the Position

This role involves working in conjunction with the accounting teams in the UK and globally to maintain the UK firms’ books and records and system of controls around financial reporting, and to review the monthly management accounts and annual financial statements. The individual will also be heavily involved in accounting policy decisions, GAAP interpretations, and will work closely with the outside auditors and advisers.  Specifically, this individual will proactively address accounting issues as they arise and consider the impact across the firm in order to develop, document, and implement accounting policies and procedures associated with new and/or unusual transactions or as a result of changes in the relevant GAAP.

About You

  • ACA accountant with minimum 9 years’ post-qualified experience, with at least a portion of time spent in practice.
  • Strong foundation of financial statements production and legal entity reporting.
  • Solid understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Familiarity with US GAAP desired but not essential.
  • Ability to research and interpret the relevant/complex accounting literature.
  • Background in financial services.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to handle competing priorities and to work effectively in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable, courteous and flexible team player.
  • Self-motivated, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Positive and professional attitude.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel.
